17 years behind the chair, still obsessed with the same thing.

I started out as a Saturday girl at 14. Sweeping floors, making teas, watching everything. I worked my way through every single stage of this industry from there. Nothing was handed to me, and I think that's exactly why I care about it as much as I still do now.

Today I own Jade Nandra at MANE, in Wilnecote, Tamworth, and I specialise in healthy hair and breakage recovery. I've picked up Staffordshire Stylist of the Year, and I've been named Hairstylist of the Year at the Hair Awards four years running. But none of that is really the point. The point is what happens in the chair, or on a video call, with you.

You shouldn't have to choose between colour you love and hair that's actually healthy.

So much advice out there treats those as opposites. Get the colour you want, or keep your hair healthy, pick one. I don't believe that, and I've spent 17 years proving it doesn't have to be that way.

Outside the salon I'm a single parent, juggling all of it the same way most of you are juggling your own lives. I get why "just use this one product" advice doesn't cut it. Real hair, real life, real reasons for breakage. That's what I actually work with.
